Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 05, 2025
Fake Email Generator ("we," "us," or "our") is deeply committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with your use of our service. Our guiding principle is to collect the minimum information necessary to provide a functional and reliable service.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
We have designed our systems to be fundamentally privacy-preserving. Therefore, we explicitly DO NOT collect or store:
- Personal Information: We do not require you to register, so we never ask for your name, real email address, or any other personal details.
- IP Addresses: Your IP address is not logged or stored. All connections are processed in real-time without retaining access logs.
- Email Content After Deletion: All emails sent to a temporary address are permanently deleted when you close or refresh the page, or after a short, fixed period of inactivity. They are not archived or backed up.
2. Information We Collect
To provide the service, we handle the following data on a temporary basis:
- Temporary Email Data: The content of emails sent to your generated address is stored temporarily on our servers so that you can view it. This data is tied to your session and is automatically and permanently deleted.
- Anonymous Session Identifiers: We use a randomly generated token (`intToken`) stored in your browser's `localStorage` to manage your current session and associate the correct inbox with your browser tab. This token is anonymous and contains no personal information.
- Aggregated, Anonymous Analytics: We may collect non-personal, aggregated usage data (e.g., the total number of emails generated per day) for statistical purposes to help us improve the service. This data cannot be traced back to any individual user.
3. Local Storage
We use your browser's `localStorage` for two purposes:
- To store your theme preference (light or dark mode).
- To store the anonymous `intToken` for session management.
4. Data Retention
Our data retention policy is simple: we delete everything as soon as possible. Email addresses and their contents are temporary. Once your session ends (by closing the browser/tab or refreshing the page), the associated data is marked for immediate and permanent deletion from our systems.
5. Third-Party Services
We use Cloudflare as a Content Delivery Network (CDN) and for security. Cloudflare may handle network traffic data as described in their own privacy policy, but we have configured our service to minimize any data logging on their end.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
7. Contact Us
